One Direction take a break to concentrate on solo projects: are they separate?

Fans of One Direction, prepare for some changes!

E! News is indeed in a position to confirm that the group will make an extended break from March. 

"They decided to take a break in order to focus on their individual projects for a while but they do not separate," a source told us. "The group still exists and they work again together in the future."

During this hiatus, Liam Payne,  Harry Styles,  Louis Tomlinson  and  Niall Horan"pursue their own projects" while remaining close.

"They are friends and support each other," said our source. "They know they can work their respective solo projects while staying together. It's an interesting time for them, from a creative point of view and for the group."

This announcement comes just days after the release of their new video, "Drag MeDown". Fans have also been so many want to watch it on Vevo that the site crashed.

This is also their first music video since the start of Zayn Malik,  who in March announced that it wanted to be "a normal boy of 22 who can relax and have a far projectors privacy".

Malik eventually signed with a record company to launch his solo career. "I've never really explained why I left. I was waiting for someone to give me the opportunity to show you who I really am! #vraiemusique #RCA !!", The English singer posted onTwitter.

As for other members of the group, everything seemed to show they wanted to continue making music together and to delight their fans. Moreover, the group has just come to a full house in Toronto that has witnessed the fall of Harry Styles stage.Thanks!

"They love to work as a group," confirmed our source. "They envision a future together but with the possibility to also do other things."
